27m here, I used to be ADDICTED to Runescape around 15 years ago. I think I have sank hundreds if not thousands of hours to OSRS gold RuneScape. I recently stumbled upon the official old-school runescape website and it made me feel nostalgic. I am just wonderingare there currently two variations of Runescape? New & older? Are still being updated? There is OSRS and RS3. OSRS is an upgraded version of RuneScape (starting with the 2007-version) that does not incorporate the brand new combat system and graphics that came out with the Evolution of Combat. It is closer to the memories you have of Runescape. RS3 is the main sport that has been continuously upgraded over time. Combat is more lively and graphics are quality. Compared to OSRS, RS3 combat is more like World of Warcraft so you have a succession of skills that you use as you struggle.
There are other variations but both games have their particular strengths/weaknesses that RuneScape players generally prefer over the other. Both matches still receive new updates and content, but the mechanisms of both are extremely different. Both are being updated, Runescape (occasionally called”Runescape 3″) is the evolution/direct descendent of Runescape Classic and Runescape 2, and so if you log into your account you’re going to find your character. It’s significantly more information than OSRS, overhauled graphics, a more modern MMO-style combat system (although you can use the classic battle system should you need for a lot of solo PVE/quest articles ), etc..
OSRS is based off of a 2007 build of Runescape – a bigger part of the upgrades to RuneScape are located directly off community opinions. It will have different content than Runescape, like different quests and a few different bosses, but it doesn’t have as much at the end of the day. They are both still actively developed. You forgot to mention that RS3 is an p2w game nowadays with buyable xp and provides to purchase xp shoved on your faced everytime you log into. Id recommend beginning with osrs. It has not been established for so long, correct?
If you are chasing nostalgia I would recommend OSRS, differently give a try! You may use the exact same account on both versions (although not at the specific same time) so if you buy membership you’re effectively buying membership on either. Yes! No matter which game you start on, it takes over to Old School RS Gold another game if you purchase membership in an account. That said, the paths have diverged a lot over time, they like two games now.
