It’s so sad but I can not quit thinking Jagex doesn’t give a shit about lore anymore. Refusing to gate at the bare minimum with fundamental quests and making RuneScape’s lore even more inconsistent. I would actually be ok with Zanik function as digsite director IF you chose not to OSRS gold kill her permanently during Nomad’s Elegy. It would have actually been hilarious if players that decided to kill her would have Zimberfizz ashes as a digsite boss instead. At least it would make more sense.
But hey, this is exactly what occurs when Jagex plain fails to ask players to complete the bare minimum quests to get a LORE DRIVEN SKILL. Nope, can’t ask players to finish a moderate length pursuit with 13 Agility, Thieving and 17 Mining reqs because it is too much. Gotta go back in AoD, you understand? I just wish Osborne, Orion, or Raven would’ve been involved in this skill, at times it feels as though they’re the last mods that truly care about RuneScape’s lore.
I have to agree. Archeology with content that is quest-locked makes sense. You’re uncovering history. Quests construct lore. Not to mention pursuit requirements would’ve likely suppressed the alt accounts folks made only to collect mats and they never would have had to nerf the exceptional weapon piece drops that functioned only to twist over the frequent participant. Now that you’ve said it I concur. Possessing a skill that involves quest locked content actually makes a whole lot of sense and would provide more motivation for individuals to perform questing.
I don’t have any idea where you are getting this impression from. Osborne has modulated the abolishment of quest requirements, reduced pursuit numbers to their all time cheapest whilst cutting the funds to create them sits in on these meetings signing off all these ideas. He does is says some empty words to cheap RuneScape gold promote hype sometimes in between his various holidays on players money.
