I’ve seen JP players provide an answer that I believe makes a whole lot of buy PSO2 Meseta since to me as a brand new PSO2 player. The iteration we’ve got at NA right now includes a lot of things that had been gradually introduced into the JP game during the last 8 years; fresh weapon tiers, sub classes, level caps, new classes, skill points, the multitude of unique quests, etc.. It is kinda like we have been dropped into the middle of a method of menus. Attempt to go with that in mind, this is an MMO with this much added content since the vanilla version.
That said, spending 1-2 hours viewing player guides and guides on particular builds will go a long way with alleviating some of the anxiety. I felt the exact same, overwhelmed with the mass of existing content with little. I’m still learning a lot every time I log on and I’m likely unknowingly doing a few things very suboptimally, but I feel a lot better after taking a while to understand what basic things I need to know through YouTube guides.
As a player I agree with Phantasy Star Online 2 giving zero guidance. This is a portion of it being a classic game I guess. Phantasy Star Online 2 came out in 2012. Hell, FFXIV came out a year later and did a helluva lot more to allow you to know exactly what you should do. The og PSO game came out before the theme-park MMO formula is based, which will be mainly my fear with the NA release of PSO2, since it mostly retains the foundation formula
The mission/gameplay multiplayer arrangement is closer to something like Monhun or Warframe than what people could normally expect from an MMO these days. In addition, I play with FFXIV and I love it, but it is definitely going to be a hard sell for my buddies who love content like this with courses that have particular functions and tasks and a hotbar full of skills, tighter battle where there is a lot more focus on team co-ordination and rotation muscle memory.
PSO2 plays more quickly and loose, it’s intended to be casual and a lot more items will get you murdered but you won’t wipe; that does not mean there isn’t any challenging content, however PSO2 is a different beast. That is coming from someone where FFXIV didn’t click before the fourth time that I attempted it, and that I came to PSO2 having loved PSU about the Xbox 360 where I knew exactly what to expect from the formula; FFXIV I tremendously enjoyed after I got beyond ARR, I imagine it would be a similar scenario for cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta some of the less-facerollable PSO2 articles.
